Lighthouse

Established in 1839, two lights on the south pier, both painted red, are connected by a lighted catwalk that also connects them to the shore and the Boardwalk. The inner light is cylindrical and the square outer light stands on a huge concrete foundation. On pleasant days, people stroll the boardwalk that borders the Grand River channel and the pier. The U.S. Coast Guard Station-Grand Haven is responsible for maintaining this light and 15 lighthouses on the West Michigan lakeshore. Musical Fountain

A synchronized display of water and lights on the harbor. Every summer evening at dusk. Special performances during Tulip Time and September. Best viewing at the Waterfront Stadium at Washington Street and Harbor Drive, Grand Haven. For Waterfront Stadium Events, call (616) 842-2550.

Board Walk

2 1/2 miles along the Grand Haven harbor lined with shops, restaurants, marinas, and charter fishing boats culminating at the catwalk and pier. While it's a great place for a brisk walk, there are plenty of grassy knolls and benches for idlers who prefer people and boat watching.
